EC has provided industrial hygiene and environmental consulting services to Middlesex College for over 20 years. These services have primarily involved pre-renovation assessments for Hazardous Materials, including, but not limited to Asbestos Containing Materials, Lead Based Paint, Polychlorinated Biphenyls, as well as the subsequent remediation design and oversight. 

EC was retained by Stockton University to provide an Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) compliant Asbestos Management Plan for 35 buildings, on and off campus, being utilized by the University. The Management Plan development included the inspection of an estimated 875,000 square feet of building space and approximately 660 rooms.  EC coordinated with the University carefully to avoid impacting operations and educational activities during the survey, and still deliver the Asbestos Management Plan within the requested time frame.  At the completion of the project, EC provided the University with room-by-room inventories of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs), inclusive of quantities in each room/location.  Photos of each identified material (ACM and non-ACM) were included in the inventories for reference.  The Asbestos Management Plan provides the University with a living document that can be consulted in advance of renovation projects and routine maintenance activities, and updated to reflect abatement and testing. This will simplify construction projects throughout the processes of procurement, design, construction and closeout.
